Honey Club - Brighton
Bar & Nightclub
The Honey Club in Brighton, on the South coast, was the next stop for Showtec to add some spark to the club with their punchy sound system.
With great nights such as Hed Kandi, Time and
Contagious, we had to fit some lighting to ensure that the sound system installed at The Honey Club did not take the limelight.
The Honeyclub is now Brighton 's largest and most luxurious seafront venue, with 7 bars in 5 rooms, plus two large beachfront terraces. The Honey Bar is open every night as the perfect pre-club rendezvous, with DJs and drinks promotions. The nightclub opens every night with a selection of popular promotions from about 10pm, and runs till 3, 4 and even 6am at weekends! The venue is also open during the day as beachfront café bar with lots of delicious food and drink on offer. The staff are very friendly and the venue attracts a friendly crowd both day and night.

Sirocco - London
Sports Cafe Bar & Nightclub
Showtec have recently had the pleasure of supplying our services to Soho Clubs and Bars, who have just completed an extensive refurbishment of Sirocco on Shaftesbury Avenue - transforming the bar into one of the most stylish and luxurious sports and dance venues in the West End.
To make a big first impression, a massive 30” mirror ball was installed in place of the original chandelier. Using this as a focal point, the existing moving yoke lighting was re-programmed to strike the mirror ball, splashing hundreds of spots of light throughout the venue and through the glass front of the building onto the pavement.
The main A/V work was undertaken with the idea to create a venue with as many visible screens for the customers as possible, whilst still looking subtle and unobtrusive. This included:
9 x 42" Plasma Screens
4 x 26" LCD Screens
1 x 32" LCD Screen
1 x 8ft Projection Screen
1 x 3000 Ansi Lumen Projector
1 x Video Signal Distribution Switcher
2 x Video Signal Boosters
1 x Sky Digital System
1 x High Gain Digital Aerial
1 x Freeview Box
1 x DVD Player
You can now enjoy the best coverage and atmosphere for national and international sporting events such as the FIFA World Cup, Wimbledon, Grand Prix and the Ashes, on the numerous selection of plasma, LCD or projection screens in one the most beautiful venues in the West End.

Tantra - London
Glitz and Glamour of the West End
Tantra nightclub fills a much cried-out-for gap in the club scene - for those who are tired of the predictable nights out in London, Tantra is a dream come true. Think of an MTV pop video come to life... flashes of bright colourful lights, boudoirs, pumping music, beautiful men and women and style! The club offers those who live life to the max, a place in London where they can truly indulge and get a taste of paradise.
To transform an already good looking venue, we installed a number of bright LED Parcan colour-changing fixtures above the main seating area, boudoirs, and beneath the entrance floor. Combining these three areas creates a stunning variety of rich colours and movement, which can completely change the look of the venue in an instant.
With no lamps to change, and no heat produced, the LED Parcans were the perfect units for the job. Combined with a Pulsar Replay Unit and Outstation, the DJ has complete control over the colour changing of the venue. From slow fading pastel shades in the evening, to fast pulsing, vibrant colours responding to the music when the night gets going, the colours enhance the atmosphere, giving the customers an all round, audio visual sensation.

17 x Black LED Par 56

Rehab – Brighton Marina
Bar - Restaurant - Club
Rehab started out life as the Ebony Rooms, visible from the main drive into Brighton Marina. Following a major refit, the venue has transformed into a stylish luxury retro bar, with fine dining in the restaurant area, and funky beats after the lights go down.
The lighting was to be kept very minimal and in keeping with the funky, retro vibe of the venue. Two Clay Paky 1200w Astro Scans were recessed into the ceiling with only the mirrors showing, and two custom light clusters were fitted below to supply the main lighting for the venue.
The sound system was to undergo some drastic changes from its original state in the Ebony Rooms as the system now had to encompass a separate restaurant, bar and nightclub, with each area being used throughout the day. With the design in place, the new system was installed with the introduction of:

Cirque @ The Hippodrome – London
On 1st April 2004, the venue famously known as The London Hippodrome, re-launched as ‘Cirque' with a show stopping celebrity party. With a Baroque-inspired interior, circus acts, folie bergere dancers, burlesque entertainment and cutting edge music influenced by electro glam pop and dance, as well as commercial house and disco, Cirque is fast becoming the ultimate super club in the UK.
Due to the high profile of the venue, this system needed to be one of the best in the country. Utilising some of the leading products on the market, Showtec endeavored to create a lighting rig worthy of the Hippodrome name.
Supplied by Coemar, the majority of the rig consisted of moving heads. To compliment this, two 2500 watt scanners were added to produce a focal point when entering the club. State-of-the-art James Thomas Pixelline 1044 LED batons were used to run up the two main pillars and 20 Hungaroflash 5000w strobes were scattered around the venue. To control all of the lighting, a PC based system was fitted featuring ShowCAD Artiste. To complete the install, Showtec employed the skills of the Pulsar Light Jockey of the year 2000, Colin Walker, to program ShowCAD and operate the rig for the opening night.
13 x Coemar iSpot 575 Moving Heads
6 x Coemar iWash 575 Moving Heads
8 x Coemar iSpot 150 Moving Heads
2 x Coemar NAT MM2500 Scans
6 x James Thomas Pixeline 1044 Batons
20 x HungaroFlash 5000w Strobes
1 x ShowCad Artiste PC
1 x Midi Keyboard
2 x Antari X-515 Foggers
2 x Antari X-310 Fazers
The system resulted in Showtec being nominated for a BEDA award for installation, and Cirque @ The Hippodrome being nominated for best London club, which it won.
A truly stunning system, which over 2 years later, still impresses and leads the way.
