Project Elements: Design & Build, Sound, Lighting, A/V

Situated on the main promenade in Douglas, beneath the Palace Hotel & Casino, Colours Nightclub was a cross between a sports bar and club with no real identity. Our aim was to completely refurbish the venue giving it a new lease of life as shown in the before and after pictures below.

The main bar area was transformed with a tiki theme throughout using real bamboo, laminate design panels, rustic wood features, tiki masks and custom-made fabrics.

A real focal point was created for the dancefloor area, with a bamboo clad Dj box, a 17 square metre LED dancefloor, 5kW sound system and a full DMX lighting rig consisting of 6 moving heads, 6 scans and 3 atomic strobes. Three custom glass ball features were added over the dancefloor containing colour changing LED floodlights.

Handmade bench seating with custom fabric was fitted around the edge of the venue, with the walls covered in laminate effect panels.

A ‘jungle’ chill out area was created away from the dancefloor using custom printed wallpaper and fabric.

A second room was built inside the venue, with a more luxurious and plush feel to it using deep studded faux leather with crystal button sofas, vivid red textured wall panels, LED backlit exploding champagne boxes on the ceiling and a custom printed Dj box.
